So... are we terminating this thread? Do we start a new one to discuss the "Final" Green-but-not-Green client?
Where should we discuss v12846 issues?

I find the use of "Final" in regards to v12846 problematic. While I am sure there was (and is) a lot of internal, behind the scenes work done since the last "Green" release (v12602), a lot of the issues we've posted since then are present in this new Final.

IMHO we should start a new discussion specifically about the new client so it is not lost in the clutter of this thread. I would rather post where and how the Team prefer so I ask here.

Default So do we put our v12846 bugs in this thread?

Just curious if we should be putting our v12846 bugs here in the green client thread still? I mean i know that v12846 is the newest version of the green client that isn't green anymore. 'shrug

Anyway, still ALOT of issues with the newest version.

I can't even begin to say how many problems the IM windows cause while inside the client so I'll list just a few..

With the focus on an open IM window:

-you can't use up and down arrow key at the same time (vehicles)
-you can't right or left click your mouse without taking focus off the IM
-you can't hold ctrl and click on the menu bar without taking focus off the IM

I'm sure there's more where that came from. 'sigh

Still some old issues that were pointed out over 2 months ago that haven't been fixed either such as the Volume Control Box problem I found.

I think this version client was a bit premature in the celebration to push it into production.

Default v12846 BUG

Many of the same issues that were present in the last build of Green are also present in this "Final" build.

For example, right and left arrow keys while focused on an IM move the cursor through the text input, but also move your avatar. The only way to get focus on an empty zone box is to click the title bar of the box. Clicking where text should go does not work, and clicking where the input field should go causes the split second focus and then focus out.

That would be a better solution, but I still don't like it. Why does the avatar need to move? I don't have a problem with seeing an ignored avatar, so long as I don't have to hear them. I generally only put people on ignore for streaming/being too loud.

Well I have heard people say that they have been actually griefed by someone on ignore by using clothing items. I'm not sure how this worked exactly, but I think it had to do with the griefer submitting items with words on them that could easily get through the approval process, but that had phrases that would mean something to the person who ignored them and were offensive in that context.

More bad news.. the organizer is still acting up as depicted here. Notice the file system does not match what the menu bar has for folders. Just after I noticed this, the organizer would not move items to and from folders. Disreguard that "Stolen" folder.. lol

do we need to repeat the problems in 12846 final client that were present in last green or should we still be using the green client and reporting issues on that ungreen green client. MeThinks the word final client is a bit premature. ALTHOUGH even with all of its bugs , I do prefer it to the old client.

I am still having the same exact problems with IMs. The tab switching function does not act properly if older IMs are outside the client while newer ones are inside the client.

It is possible to type or speak blindly in an IM when it is minimize! HUGE security issue from my perspective.

when typing in an IM if I receive a summon request or IM request, and possilbly some other pop ups the text I am typing immediately leaves the IM and goes to open chat. Also a security issue.

Sometimes when text leaves IM it is particularly hard to get the cursor back in the IM. Have to click the actual title bar for the IM to be able to enter text in it.

keeping client chat log open causes problems when switching IMs using tab and also seems to increase frequency of chat popping out of IM when typing.

Still having blank lines in zone boxes and IMs at times.

Unable to stick IM or chat log scroll. This makes copy/ paste particularly difficult in a busy IM or chat log.

those are the ones I can think of at the moment.
