Our servers operate on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), also known as UTC (Universal Time Coordinated)
This means that our servers do not know what daylight saving time is - there is no Dayilght Saving Time in UTC/GMT. Our servers provide your web browser with a GMT time, and your web browser uses the time settings on your computer to set what you see as the time in a web page. What this means is, if you are seeing incorrect times in event web pages, your computer's time zone setting (and perhaps even the DST setting itself) is not correct. Please adjust your computer's timezone/DST settingss to be correct, and then you will see correct local time on web pages in There. |

The server time is absolutely correct.
Based on what you describe, the time zone setting (and maybe the DST setting too) is definitely not correct. Check your settings and readjust them so that they are correct. |

Maebee had something weird going on too with the time in There recently.
She is in the same time zone as both Kass and myself. She had scheduled a card event for 8pm. Or what she thought was 8pm. At 8pm (by her computer clock, my computer clock, and Kasss' clock) the event should have been starting but it wasn't. So we compared our schedules and on my schedule and Kass's schedule the card event was scheduled for 9pm. On Maebee's schedule it said the event was at 8pm but it wasn't listed as happening "now" even though it was after 8pm. And that wasn't the only time that happened either. She had a few events that she had scheduled that week start at a different time for everyone else then when it said it started for her. But after the time changed, everything went back to normal. And her events are now reading the same time for her as they are for me. It was very strange.

I think it has to do with the Daylight Savings Time setting. I didn't read all the posts here, so sorry if I am repeating. I had that same issue last year I think.

I'll go out on a limb and suggest that Maebee is using a pre-2007 computer (when the dates for daylight savings time were changed), and that the computer was not patched with the timezone update.
Was your time also skewed for a week or two in the spring? |
