Thank you all for your more than kind words. I too have enjoyed Lagoland these past three years. Some of you have been there from the start, others only got to visit for a few short hours. I hope you all had a good time in the neighborhood. More recently I have been doing a lot of this

to keep the hood open. It was not much fun anymore, the financial problems, not the hood.

I wish There had decided to make it into a landmark Innie, or perhaps a development with pre-placed houses, but that is neither here nor There. If there wants it all, my offer still stands. Happy to donate and help set it up and such.

There are prenty of opportunites for other themed hoods in There.com I may yet explore some of them!

Until then the hood itself, a perfectly flat piece of land is in auctions and a reasonable buy it now price for the flattest piece of nice green land in There!

Perhaps it will all happen again on an island named "Key Lago." Until then, here's looking at you kid.

'hmmm I guess that was from Casablanca. Why does the name Casablanca make me hungry for tiny hamburgers from White Castle?

Aw, I'm sorry Francis. I really thought it was a very cool place and you did an awesome job with it. It's so hard now for hoods to stay alive...everyone says they love my hood, but nobody will move in, so I understand why you made that decision, especially if you're not having fun anymore. I wish that I could have helped some...I wanted to drop a lot on The House, but with my mom losing her job and my trying to help her keep her house, it's been tough going.
I do wish There would make it a landmark, because it really does deserve to be!

The hood was still fun, the problems getting people in the hood and the money together each month was not fun. I Can't believe that somoene would not drop a lot over CarCus' The House for Halloween even! It's all gone now by the way. There is a very flat hood to look at.

Default Omg

I am sorry to hear of this news. I had some good times with my lots there in the past, I met some of my there family for the first time there, and Lagoland holds special meaning to me. When I was helping new members by showing them around THERE I often brought them to Lagoland set them up with vehicles and they had a blast. I remember how helpful Slumlord was when I built my lots. Its going to be absolutlely depressing next time I want to show it to someone or if I wanted to stop at the lemonade stand for a drink, and it won't be there anymore. I can only be hopeful that as long as Lagolandslumlord is among us there is hope for some return of Lagoland. I am sure others as well as I will be watching for the announcement. Good luck Slumlord, here's to wishing THERE would help in your hour of need. 'cheers

Default I have a little piece of history :)

Well, thanks Francis for the memories ! Even if I am a newcomer in World, I got the sense of history at Lagland and other "landmarks" right away, making There a very comfy friendly place to hang I went over to the goodbye party and though I was having tech dif trying to take pics and not being very "present" there, I was "aware" for a minute or two when I was handed one of the prizes at that party, a "neighborhood violation" sign which I used at my joint for Halloween and is now, even though it's silly, one of my most treasured items in World, because it connects me, as a fledgling Thereian to some of it's traditions and history. Thanks again-all change is good huh

A sad day in there.com !

my first day in there i ended up in lagoland , never thought id see this day.

From a 45 , to a 100 acre then a whole new location! didn't think it would go under with such promising changes .

Guess im going to have to hang up my lago police uniform

On a lighter note , we still have francis so the lago spirit is still around
